7. Profile Promotion & Spark Badges Policy

7.1 Promoted Profiles and Items

Users have the option to promote their seller profiles and individual listings to gain enhanced visibility across the platform. Promotion is a paid feature and may require the use of ZPoints. Promoted content receives placement advantages, including appearing higher in search results or being featured in special sections.

7.2 Spark Badge

The “Spark” badge is assigned to promoted profiles and all items listed under those profiles. It indicates that the user has opted into a visibility-enhancing service provided by Zukarte. The badge is displayed alongside usernames and item listings as long as the promotion is active.

7.3 Promotion Benefits and Limitations

Promoted profiles and items may enjoy better visibility, increased buyer interest, and higher engagement. However, Zukarte does not guarantee specific sales or results. Promotion effectiveness depends on the quality of listings, market demand, and user behaviour.

7.4 Badge Misuse and Revocation

Badges must not be replicated, tampered with, or used deceptively outside their intended function. Any attempts to falsely display or manipulate badges may result in immediate revocation, account suspension, or permanent banning from the platform. Zukarte reserves the right to remove badges or promotional access if users violate listing, payment, or community policies.

The Ad Banners & Sponsored Content Policy outlines the rules and standards for advertising placements on Zukarte. This includes banner ads, sponsored listings, and other forms of paid promotional content that are displayed across the platform. These guidelines ensure that all advertisements align with the values and quality expectations of Zukarte while providing fair opportunities for advertisers.

8.1 Eligibility and Pricing

Ad banner placements and sponsored content are available to verified sellers, brands, or external advertisers who meet Zukarte’s advertising criteria. All requests for advertisement placements are subject to review and approval by the Zukarte team. Pricing for banner ads and sponsored content is determined based on placement location, duration, and traffic visibility. Zukarte may offer tiered pricing packages or promotional discounts from time to time.

8.2 Content Restrictions

All ad creatives and sponsored content must comply with Zukarte’s content and community guidelines. Advertisements must not contain misleading claims, adult or explicit material, illegal content, discriminatory language, or promote products/services that violate local laws or Zukarte’s listing policies. Ads must be professionally designed and clearly distinguishable from organic content. Zukarte reserves the right to reject or remove any advertisement that does not meet platform standards.

8.3 Duration and Visibility

Approved ads are displayed for the agreed-upon duration, which may vary based on the package or campaign objectives. Visibility of ad banners and sponsored content depends on the selected placement such as homepage, category page, or search results and may be influenced by user location, platform engagement, and other factors. Zukarte does not guarantee impressions, clicks, or conversions unless specifically stated under a promotional agreement.

8.4 Advertiser Responsibilities

Advertisers are responsible for ensuring that submitted content is accurate, lawful, and up to date. Any changes to an active campaign must be communicated in advance for approval. Misleading or non-compliant advertisements may result in removal without refund, and repeat violations may lead to a permanent ban from advertising on Zukarte.

8.5 Policy Revisions

Zukarte may revise this policy to reflect changes in platform capabilities, legal requirements, or market trends. Advertisers are expected to review and comply with the latest version of this policy at the time of each campaign submission.

9. User Behaviour & Community Conduct Policy

The User Behaviour & Community Conduct Policy outlines the expected standards of interaction and communication for all users on the Zukarte platform. Whether participating in private messages, public discussions, or transaction-related conversations, users are expected to maintain a respectful and inclusive environment that supports the integrity and safety of the community.

9.1 Messaging Etiquette

Users should communicate clearly, respectfully, and constructively when messaging other users. Personal attacks, offensive language, aggressive bargaining, or sending excessive or repetitive messages is discouraged. All interactions, whether buyer-to-seller, seller-to-buyer, or peer-to-peer, should remain courteous and professional.

9.2 Harassment, Spam, and Abuse Prevention

Zukarte maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward harassment, hate speech, threats, or any form of discriminatory or abusive behaviour. Users may not use the platform to send spam, unsolicited promotions, or phishing content. Repeated violations may result in temporary suspension or permanent account termination.

9.3 Blocking and Reporting Functionality

Zukarte provides features to block users and report misconduct. Users are encouraged to use the reporting tools for any suspicious or inappropriate activity they encounter. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team, and appropriate action will be taken based on the severity and nature of the violation. Misuse of the reporting or blocking features, such as filing false reports, may itself be considered a policy violation.

9.4 Community Responsibility

Each user plays a role in fostering a safe and respectful environment on Zukarte. By following these guidelines and reporting violations responsibly, users contribute to the overall trust and well-being of the platform. Zukarte reserves the right to take action, including removing content or restricting accounts, to protect the integrity of the community.

10. Review & Rating Policy

The Review & Rating Policy governs the fair use, moderation, and integrity of user-submitted feedback on the Zukarte platform. Reviews and ratings are essential for building trust among buyers, sellers, and service providers, and they must reflect genuine, respectful, and constructive experiences.

10.1 Who Can Leave a Review

Only users who have had a transaction with a seller, or buyer on Zukarte are eligible to leave a review. This ensures that reviews reflect actual experiences and are not used maliciously or fraudulently. Each review must pertain to a specific transaction or engagement.

10.2 Editing and Deletion Policy

Users may edit or delete their own reviews within a limited time window after submission. Once this window has passed, reviews become a permanent part of the profile unless formally reported and removed after moderation. Zukarte reserves the right to remove or modify reviews that violate content guidelines, contain inappropriate language, or are proven to be false or misleading.

10.3 Handling Reported Reviews

If a user believes a review is inappropriate, abusive, or fraudulent, it may be reported using the in-app reporting tool. Reported reviews are reviewed by Zukarte’s moderation team and may be hidden or removed if found to breach platform rules. Repeated misuse of the review system may lead to warnings, restrictions, or account suspension.

10.4 Transparency and Fairness

Zukarte does not allow review manipulation, including incentivizing positive reviews or posting fake feedback. All reviews must be honest and unbiased reflections of the user experience. Reviews and ratings play a vital role in maintaining platform integrity, and their misuse undermines community trust.

11. Returns, Cancellations & Dispute Policy

The Returns, Cancellations & Dispute Policy outlines the procedures and expectations for resolving post-sale concerns on Zukarte. It ensures a transparent and respectful marketplace experience, encouraging communication between buyers and sellers while also defining Zukarte’s role in dispute resolution where applicable.

11.1 Return Eligibility

Returns are generally based on the item type and the agreement established at the time of sale. Sellers are encouraged to clearly state return conditions in their listings. Buyers requesting returns should do so within a reasonable timeframe and must provide valid reasons with appropriate evidence such as receiving a damaged, incorrect, or significantly misrepresented product.

11.2 Buyer-Seller Dispute Resolution

When issues arise, buyers and sellers are expected to communicate respectfully using the in-app chat to resolve the matter. Both parties should engage in good faith and use available tools to support their claims, including order details, images, and messages. Sellers are encouraged to cooperate with legitimate concerns, and buyers are advised to avoid unreasonable demands or abuse of return requests.

11.3 Shield-Protected Transactions (Platform Payments)

For transactions involving Zukarte’s Shield badge where payment is processed through the platform refunds and disputes may be managed by Zukarte. The buyer’s payment is held securely and only released to the seller after the buyer confirms receipt and satisfaction. In the event of a dispute, Zukarte Support may intervene and review the case using all relevant data. Based on the findings, refunds may be issued or the seller may be cleared to receive payment.

11.4 In-Person Payment Transactions (Non-Shield Listings)

Items listed with in-person payment (non-Shield listings) are excluded from platform dispute mechanisms. Since both the payment and item exchange are made directly between buyer and seller under mutually agreed terms, Zukarte holds no responsibility for disputes in such cases. Buyers and sellers must independently handle any conflicts, and Zukarte Support will not be involved in facilitating returns, refunds, or mediation for these transactions.

11.5 Support Escalation Process

For Shield-protected disputes that remain unresolved, users may escalate the issue to Zukarte Support. Our moderation team will impartially assess the situation using order logs, messages, and evidence. Zukarte reserves the right to make a final decision and take appropriate actions including issuing refunds, cancelling transactions, or applying user restrictions in cases of misuse or abuse of platform policies.

12. Account Security & Fraud Prevention Policy

Zukarte is committed to providing a secure and trustworthy environment for all users. This policy outlines key practices for maintaining account security and preventing fraudulent activities, along with the steps Zukarte may take when issues arise.

12.1 Password Best Practices

Users are strongly advised to create secure, unique passwords that combine letters, numbers, and special characters. Reusing passwords from other services is discouraged. For added safety, users should update passwords regularly and avoid sharing login credentials with anyone.

12.2 Detecting Scams

Users should remain alert for common fraud attempts, such as too-good-to-be-true offers, requests for off-platform communication, or payment links shared via chat. Zukarte does not request sensitive information such as passwords or OTPs through messages or calls. If a deal or message seems suspicious, users should report it immediately using the in-app reporting tools.

12.3 Zukarte's Fraud Response Actions

When fraudulent behaviour or suspicious activity is detected, Zukarte may temporarily suspend the account in question while an investigation is conducted. Depending on the severity, actions may include reversing transactions, permanently banning the user, or reporting the issue to relevant legal authorities. Zukarte actively monitors usage patterns and user reports to detect and address scams and fraud attempts swiftly, prioritizing the safety of the community.

13. Cookies Policy

Zukarte uses cookies and similar technologies to improve user experience, enhance platform functionality, and analyse usage patterns. This policy explains how cookies are used and how users can manage their preferences.

13.1 What Are Cookies?

  • Remember user preferences such as language, location, and display settings.
  • Analyse traffic and user behaviour for performance improvements.
  • Deliver personalized content and relevant promotional messages.

These cookies may be first-party (set by Zukarte) or third-party (set by analytics or advertising partners).

13.3 Managing Cookie Preferences

Most web browsers allow users to manage or disable cookies through browser settings. Users can choose to delete existing cookies or block new ones, though doing so may affect the platform’s functionality, including login and personalization features.

13.4 Consent and Policy Updates

By using Zukarte’s platform, users consent to the use of cookies as described in this policy. Zukarte may update this Cookies Policy from time to time. Users will be notified of significant changes through the platform or other appropriate channels.

14. Data Retention & Deletion Policy

Zukarte is committed to responsible data management, ensuring that user data is retained only as long as necessary and securely deleted upon request or account closure. This policy outlines how we handle data retention and deletion in compliance with applicable laws and best practices, prioritizing user privacy and security.

14.1 Data We Retain

Zukarte retains specific types of data for operational, legal, and safety reasons. These include:

  • Account Information: This includes details such as the user’s name, contact information, and profile information provided during registration or subsequently updated.
  • Transaction Records: We retain purchase and sale history, payment details (if applicable), and activity related to ZPoints for transactional and accounting purposes.
  • Communication Logs: Zukarte keeps a record of messages exchanged between users, interactions with customer support, and notifications for operational purposes.
  • Usage Data: This includes platform activity, user preferences, and settings, which help us improve the user experience and the performance of our platform.

14.2 Retention Duration

  • Active Accounts: We retain user data for as long as the account remains active or as required by applicable law, such as for tax or audit purposes.
  • Inactive Accounts: In cases where the user account is inactive, Zukarte may retain the data for a limited period, which is necessary for legal compliance or for audit purposes.
  • Deleted Accounts: When a user requests the deletion of their account, core personal data is anonymized or securely deleted within a reasonable timeframe. However, some data may still be retained in compliance with legal obligations or for purposes such as dispute resolution or enforcing our terms of service.

14.3 User Rights to Deletion

Users have the right to request the deletion of their account and associated data at any time. This can be done by:

  • Accessing the account settings within the platform and choosing the account deletion option.
  • Contacting Zukarte Support through our official communication channels.

Please note that while Zukarte will honour deletion requests, certain data may need to be retained for legal compliance, dispute resolution, or enforcement of our terms and conditions.

14.4 Security of Deletion

Zukarte follows strict security protocols to ensure that user data is safely and thoroughly removed from active databases, backups, and other storage systems during the deletion process. In cases where full deletion is not technically feasible, such as with backup data, we ensure that the data is anonymized or restricted from further processing.

15. Shipping & Delivery Policy

15.1 Seller Responsibility for Shipping

Sellers are fully responsible for ensuring that items listed for sale on Zukarte are shipped according to the specified terms in their product listings. This includes choosing the appropriate shipping methods, providing accurate delivery timeframes, and ensuring that the items are packaged securely to prevent damage during transit. Sellers are also required to communicate with buyers and update them about the shipping status, including tracking information and any potential delays.

15.2 Buyer Expectations

Buyers must carefully review the shipping terms mentioned in the product listings before making a purchase. This includes checking if the seller offers shipping, pickup, or in-person exchange. Once the transaction is made, buyers are expected to respect the seller’s specified shipping methods and delivery timelines. If applicable, buyers must also coordinate with the seller for delivery or pickup arrangements, making sure to follow through on agreed-upon schedules.

15.3 In-Person Exchanges

For items listed under the non-shield category (where payment and collection are made in person), there will be no Zukarte-mediated mechanisms for refunds, returns, or disputes. These transactions are handled directly between the buyer and seller. Both parties are responsible for ensuring that the transaction is completed smoothly, and Zukarte will not intervene in such cases. For the safety of both buyers and sellers, we recommend conducting in-person exchanges in public, secure locations and verifying the condition of the item before completing payment.

15.4 No Platform Liability

Since Zukarte does not provide or manage shipping services, the platform is not liable for any delays, damages, or failures in the delivery of goods. Any issues related to shipping, including undelivered goods or transit damage, should be handled directly between the buyer and seller, or, if a third-party delivery service is used, through the respective delivery provider. Zukarte does not assume responsibility for any discrepancies arising during the shipping process.

16. Payment & Refund Policy

This Payment & Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions governing payments, refunds, and related issues for transactions conducted on the Zukarte platform. By using the platform, you agree to comply with these terms.

16.1 Payment Terms

Zukarte provides multiple payment methods for users to facilitate secure transactions. Payments made on the platform may include the purchase price for items, promotional features, and other services offered by Zukarte. The following terms apply:

  • Payment Methods: Zukarte supports payments through various methods, including credit/debit cards, digital wallets, bank transfers, and other methods available on the platform.
  • Transaction Confirmation: A transaction is confirmed once payment is successfully processed and the buyer receives a confirmation notification.
  • Payment Security: Zukarte uses secure payment gateways to process all transactions, ensuring that payment details are encrypted and securely handled.
  • Currency: All payments on the Zukarte platform will be conducted in Indian Rupees (INR).

16.2 Refund Eligibility

Refunds may be issued under the following conditions:

  • Item Not Received: If a buyer does not receive an item that was successfully paid for, they may be eligible for a refund after confirming the non-receipt via tracking or communication with the seller.
  • Damaged or Defective Item: If an item is delivered in a damaged or defective condition, the buyer may be entitled to a refund or replacement, as per the seller's return policy.
  • Incorrect Item: If the wrong item is delivered, a refund or exchange may be requested.
  • Cancellation: If the buyer cancels the order before it is processed or shipped, a refund may be issued, depending on the seller's cancellation policy.

16.3 Refund Process

To initiate a refund request, the buyer must:

  • Contact Seller: Buyers should first contact the seller to resolve issues related to defective items, cancellations, or other problems. If the issue is not resolved directly with the seller, the buyer can escalate the matter to Zukarte’s support team.
  • Return or Exchange: Depending on the seller's policy, the item may need to be returned before a refund is processed. The buyer should follow the return instructions provided by the seller.
  • Refund Method: Refunds will be processed using the same payment method used for the original transaction. In some cases, alternative arrangements may be made based on the situation.

16.4 Non-Refundable Items

Certain items are non-refundable under Zukarte's policies, including but not limited to:

  • In-person Payment Listings: For items that are listed with in-person payment (non-Shield listings), there are no refund mechanisms involved, as the payment and item collection are completed with mutual agreement between the buyer and seller. Any disputes regarding such transactions should be directly handled between the buyer and seller.
  • Digital Goods or Services: Purchases related to digital goods or services, including promotions, advertising features, and digital content, may be non-refundable once delivered.

16.5 Processing Time

Refunds will be processed within a reasonable timeframe. Typically, refunds will be initiated within 7-14 business days after the approval of the refund request. The exact processing time may vary depending on the payment method and other factors.

16.6 Chargebacks & Fraud Prevention

Any fraudulent chargeback requests may result in the suspension of the buyer’s account, and further legal actions may be pursued if necessary. Zukarte takes fraud prevention seriously and will cooperate with financial institutions and authorities to resolve fraudulent transactions.

16.7 Dispute Resolution

If a buyer and seller cannot resolve a refund issue, either party can escalate the matter to Zukarte’s customer support team. Zukarte will facilitate the resolution of disputes, but the final decision will depend on the circumstances and the applicable policies.
